Note:  See below for another update!  And another!

Liam x Ella pups 3 weeks and 4 days (Saturday)!!!!  They are growing like wildfire!  Ella is an excellent and attentive mom. The puppies are spotless and that will help them throughout life, as a dog that is used to being clean, likes being clean, making housebreaking much easier for family companions and general mainenance for livestock guardians.

Pictures below are the first time on the table.   They did great for 3 week old puppies.  They have to get used to the table to take evaluation pictures, but they learn so much - trust, confidence, etc.  Disregard my shirt, with each puppy, I got more covered in puppy milk LOL.

Pretty Awesome for 3 1/2 weeks.  Their eyes have just fully opened about 4 days ago.  They are intelligent and are already working with me.  One of the girls barked at me because I was making some notes on paper, and I was supposed to be putting her on the scale instead.  I was taking too long and she let me know I needed to get with the program - she knew the routine already.

They started "food" or puppy mash at 3 weeks 1 day, mostly liquid and I slowly increase the amount of soaked puppy food over time.

I must say, this is the cleanest bunch of puppies when it comes to eating.  Normally I end up with one or two diving into the saucer, getting absolutely soaked.  Not these pups, very mannerly.  I wipe off noses, that's it.  Normally, I am wiping puppies down with a wash cloth at first.  Ella is teaching them well and keeping them satisfied.  Now, they do get excited at the sight of an incontinence pad - because they know that bowl of food comes after that.

Little video of one of the first meals... (may take a while to load)

Pups transitioned to the next stage!  They took it in stride.  Once the new stuffed toys are washed and dried they will get those too.  =)
